Some of you may remember that a couple of weeks ago I made a card to enter into Kylie's International Highlights October competition - I'm pleased to say that I placed in the top 10 of the entered cards and therefore taking part in this blog hop - so thank you to everyone who voted for me!!!
If you're hopping to me from another page, then Welcome - I'm Laura from the UK (AKA The Stamping Cat). If you're starting with me, then please read my post then click on the next person in the list to hop over to their page.
For our winners blog hop, we are continuing with the theme of 'Sorry'. For my entry card, I used Brusho to create my background, so I decided to stick with that product for this card as well.
My colour inspiration for this card came from the Merry Merlot and Copper ribbon that is in the Autumn/Winter catalogue - I think these colours go so well together and are muted enough for a sympathy card. No one enjoys making sympathy cards so I thought I'd make one now so I have to hand when needed.
For the Brusho background I spritzed some watercolour cardstock with water and shook Brusho powders on to it before giving another spritz of water. The card needs to dry for a while before you stamp over it so be patient! I then used one of my favourite stamp sets, Lovely as a Tree, to stamp the trees in Merry Merlot. The watercolour cardstock was when mounted to copper foil and I added the sentiment with some copper embossing.
I hope you like my card, and thank you for hopping. The products I've used to make this card are at the bottom of this post - take a look then hop over to the next blog!

Such pretty Brusho work, Laura! And, it's great with the Copper embossing.

ReplyDeleteThe Brusho background looks great behind the trees. Heat embossing always looks impressive!
