Hi everyone, thank you for visiting my web page! I’m Laura (aka The Stamping Cat). I live in a little village, just outside of Brackley in Northamptonshire. I moved here from South Wales in 2011 to be with my partner, Danny – it was a pretty scary move for me as I knew no one in the area apart from him so I decided to join various social groups to meet some people!
I’ve always being loved being creative, having had various hobbies in my life including playing the violin, cross stitching, decopatching and various other interests. I discovered Stampin’ Up! in November 2015 when I attended a card making class through one of my social groups, Ladies Circle. Following the class, I decided to make some Christmas Cards and asked for a Big Shot for Christmas. My love of papercrafting, and Stampin’ Up! grew from there.
I joined Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator in May 2016 and I’ve never looked back. When I joined, my intention was to purely take advantage of the great discount and make some friends. Once I’d been a demonstrator for a few months I realised that I wanted to share Stampin’ Up! with other people and so decided to start some classes in my local Village Hall. Since then, I have established a weekly coffee and card session in my village Tea Rooms and also hold quarterly classes.
Aside from my partner, and Stampin’ Up! the other major love of my life are our 3 cats: Kato, Tilly and Sparrow. Kato and Tilly are British Short Hair x Ragdolls, who are brother and sister from the same litter. Sparrow is a Somali x Bengal; this means he’s a bit mad, but we love him for it!
I’ve now decided that I want to share my love of Stampin’ Up! even further and decided to set up a webpage. When setting my page up, I wanted to create a brand for myself which depicted who I am and what I love in life. As I’ve already mentioned, I have 3 cats, who I absolutely adore, so it made sense to mix my love of stamping with my love of cats. Hence, The Stamping Cat was born!
